A dohar is an Summer blanket of India made of 3 layers of fine mal or Indian Muslin. Mal is known for its softness and airy properties and prevents overheating unlike other fabrics. As mal is specifically chosen over any other fabric to swaddle and wrap newborns, our natural choice was to offer a little blanket made of the softest mal thats lighter than air but perfect for hot climates as well as indoors under AC temperatures. Our 3 layered Dohars are great to use as a sleeping cover, swaddle wrap, a mat for tummy time, nursing cover, pram cover, burp cloth and many more !
