A favourite from our collection as newborn gifts are these gorgeously airy blankets called Dohars. A dohar is an Indian summer blanket made of 3 layers of fine mulmul or Indian Muslin. A very breathable fabric once exclusive to only the royal families in ancient times.  Mul is known for its softness and airy properties and prevents overheating unlike other fabrics. As mul is specifically chosen over any other fabric to swaddle and wrap newborns, our natural choice was to offer a little blanket made of the softest mulmul lighter than air and perfect for hot climates as well as indoors under AC temperatures.

You are sure to fall in love with the softness and subtle designs of our fabrics. One layer of non toxic – hand blocked mulmul is gently sandwiched between 2 wispy layers of Seashell White Mulmuls creating a subtle, see through pattern. These are generously sized at 40 X 40 inches and great for newborns or toddlers of 5 years of age. Quite easy to launder (machine washable !), these are fuss free cozy covers for your little ones. Our 3 layered Dohars are quite adept at different uses like a sleeping cover, swaddle wrap, a mat for tummy time, nursing cover, pram cover, burp cloth and many more !
