These gorgeous prints on the pure cotton fabrics are made through a natural bleaching process and printed using traditional natural vegetable dye recipes. These block prints are created using a mud resist dyeing technique in which a paste of clay or mud is applied to the fabric and left to dry. And this is then immersed in indigo or any other natural dyes chosen by the artisan. This entire process of production and hand block printing is done by expert artisans of Kutch. Due to the mud resist technique and natural dyes being used for hand blocking these prints, fabrics may display slight irregularities in prints and  color  which are the hallmark of a handmade Dabu product . It may rub color on skin or light colored garments. A dip in salt water before each wash is advised for the same.
